Notice of City Council Vacancy
The City of Brandon has a vacancy on the Brandon City Council from Ward 3. Interested Ward 3 residents must be a registered voter in Ward 3 and need to submit a completed Expression of Interest Form by 4:30pm on Friday April 7, 2023. Forms can be obtained at City Hall, 304 S Main Ave or on the City’s website at www.cityofbrandon.org. The appointment will expire on May 6, 2024 at which time a four-year term will be filled by the individual elected at the Municipal Election on April 9, 2024.
Timeline is as follows:
April 7: Deadline for Expression of Interest Forms
April 13: Meet the candidates – interview with Council
April 17: council considers appointing alderman
May 1: Alderman sworn in
