NOW HIRING – Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer

The City of Dell Rapids is seeking to hire Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer.  This Full-Time Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer position is expected to provide a variety of routine and complex work in the interpretation and enforcement of adopted building codes, related rules and regulations, and city ordinances. This position is the City’s face for building, zoning and code enforcement. Desired minimum qualification include; Graduation from High School or GED,  Minimum of 2 years experience with code enforcement, zoning and building inspection and general knowledge of building codes OR any equivalent combination of education and experience. Driver’s License Required. Must possess the ability to obtain a valid Residential Inspector Certificate within one year of employment.   Starting wage depends on qualifications.
