Recreation Trail Closure – Madison Street to Maple Street

Beginning on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, work will begin on the Sioux Falls Recreation Trail between Madison Street and Maple Street near Elmwood Golf Course.

Work on this section of the trail will include full-depth removal of existing pavement, shaping, and repaving. A detour will be provided during the duration of the project. Improvements to this section of trail are anticipated to be complete by September 23, 2022.

Motorists traveling the detour area are urged to be alert for cyclists, pedestrians, children, dogs, and other typical recreation trail users. Motorists should reduce speeds in the detour area and are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
