CITY OF FLANDREAU RECYCLING PROGRAM
The City of Flandreau, in conjunction with Eng Services is pleased to offer a recycling program
to the residents of Flandreau. Curbside recycling occurs on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. Since this is
a voluntary service, Eng Services requests that residents who want curbside recycling contact
the City Office to add your name and address to the list for pick-up. Until regular recycling
containers are obtained, please use a container marked “recycling”.
There is also an 8-yard dumpster at the City Office in the east parking area for residents to use
for recycled material should you wish to participate in the program but do not want to do
curbside recycling. The following items will be accepted curbside and, in the dumpster, located at the City Office: tin
cans, aluminum cans, plastic containers marked 1 PETE or 2 HDPE only, newspaper,
magazines, cardboard, cereal box type cardboard and junk mail. Newspaper, magazines,
cardboards and junk mail must be dry and can be placed inside brown paper grocery bags for
recycling. Tin cans, aluminum cans and plastic containers must be rinsed out and clean. No
plastic bags, no glass of any sort and no pizza boxes. All items can be co-mingled in the same container and do not have to be separated. Do not
place items in plastic bags or other containers.
Please, no household garbage in any of the recycling containers or in the dumpster located at
the City Office!
