The City Yard Waste Site will be open today from 11 a.m. to 7 a.m. to help assist citizens with downed trees and other acceptable materials related to last Thursday's weather event.
Acceptable materials (must be separated into category):
Grass clippings, leaves, garden vines, and stalks
Trees, tree branches, scrap lumber, untreated wood
Unacceptable Materials:
Bricks, concrete, glass, metal, and wire
Car bodies or car parts
Painted wood
Household garbage
Hazardous materials
Electronic devices such as TVs, stereos, or radios
Plastic bags, plastic jugs, or any other forms of plastic
