Now Hiring Assistant Finance Officer

The City of Dell Rapids is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Finance Officer - The position has responsibility for administering all utility billing functions and processes as well as well as provide back up to the Finance Officer.  This person’s scope of responsibility includes gathering and entering customer information and changes, processing service orders, gathering and downloading meter-reading information, processing late notices and shut-off notices, all invoicing, assist in processing accounts receivable and payable, prepares payroll, and handling customer inquiries. This is a front facing public position that handles the majority of resident and customer questions and complaints. This person also assists in tracking and maintaining fixed assets and handles other administrative functions as requested. The City is searching for a skilled individual that has relevant computer and social media skills. Desired Minimum Qualifications; 1) High School Graduate or GED equivalent 2) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university preferred 3) working knowledge of social media tools 3) ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with citizens, employees, supervisors, and the general public. Starting salary is based on qualifications.
