Over the past four years, Americans have been dealing with the impact of policies from the Biden Administration. Concerns include an open border, high inflation, and mandates affecting energy production, vehicle emissions, health care, and firearms.
In South Dakota, many residents express difficulty in managing their finances due to rising prices. Since President Biden assumed office, there has been opposition to over $13 trillion in progressive spending. Despite this opposition, these spending plans were approved with Democratic support. As a result, American families are now reportedly paying over $13,000 more annually for the same goods compared to four years ago.
Looking ahead to 2025, there is optimism for change as Congress and the Trump Administration plan to implement conservative policies. These include securing the border, restoring fiscal discipline, extending Trump's tax cuts, addressing issues with China, and enhancing government efficiency.
On border security: "More than ten million illegal immigrants have entered our country since January 2021. It’s time to finish the border wall, increase Border Patrol, and reimplement Trump-era policies like Remain in Mexico to prevent more individuals from entering illegally."
Regarding fiscal responsibility: "Congress and the White House must work together to cut unnecessary federal spending. I’ve worked with Members of Congress to pass a spending package that cut spending for the first time in over a decade."
Concerning China: "It’s clear the Chinese Communist Party is not backing down from targeting America... We can’t allow them to continue to bully America."
On government efficiency: "The Biden Administration’s bloated approach to bureaucracy—from spending to government programs to regulations—is coming to an end."
There is anticipation for a conservative alignment in the House, Senate, and White House focused on improving the economy and domestic production while reducing costs for families.
