On Friday, Jan. 31, former Roosevelt High School standout Heidi Vortherms’ current college team, the West Texas A&M Buffaloes, won 11-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls.

The game took place at Los Lunas Sports Complex. This was their first matchup against the Cowgirls this season.

The Buffaloes’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Los Lunas Sports Complex against Adams State Grizzlies.
