Sam Cardwell, former De Smet High School standout, played on Friday, March 28 in NCAA Division II baseball game

On Friday, March 28, former De Smet High School standout Sam Cardwell’s current college team, the Maryville Saints, won 8-7 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the McKendree Bearcats.

The game took place at Hypes Field. This was their second matchup against the Bearcats this season.

The Saints’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. at Hypes Field against McKendree Bearcats.
