Tree Debris Removal Information

1. City of Brandon will remove trees/limbs from trees located in the public right of way, also known as the boulevard.  Call 605-582-6515 to notify the city.

2. If a tree or large limb from a private property has dropped onto the public right-of-way, City crews will cut the debris at the property line and clean the debris up.  Tree must have fallen on the road/sidewalk due to the storm.  We will not pick up branches piled up on the boulevard.  

3. Any damaged trees or debris that are in an owner’s yard are the responsibility of the owner and will not be removed by the City.  

Tree Site Dates and Rules:

Disclaimer:  The site is muddy.  City is not responsible for damage to vehicles or vehicles getting stuck.

Thursday, July 7th from 9am – 3pm 

Friday, July 8th from 9am – 3pm

Saturday, July 9th from 9am – 3pm

Location: 409 N Sioux Blvd (entrance is North of the Fire Station)

Cost:  Free

Rules: In-town Brandon Residents only and provide SD Driver’s License and/or current city utility bill for proof of residency.

NOT Allowed: NO loose leaves, NO grass, NO lumber, NO yard waste and NO pet waste.

No commercial contractors unless contracted by the City of Brandon.

Illegal dumping outside of operation days/hours or non-approved items will be prosecuted.
