On Saturday, March 15, former Roosevelt High School standout Heidi Vortherms’ current college team, the West Texas A&M Buffaloes, won 16-7 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons.

The game took place at UTPB Softball Park. This was their second matchup against the Falcons this season.

The Buffaloes’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 21 at 4 p.m. at Schaeffer Park against Angelo State Rams.
