The City of Flandreau would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding while we continue to address the situation that arose from last night's wind storm. The following are some announcements to inform the public:
1. Power was restored to the public this morning and City Staff are continuing to repair damages to our electric system related to the storm.
2. Citizens are encouraged to continue placing tree branches in the City boulevard, as City Staff will continue to work to haul off the branches for the next week or so or until no longer needed. However, the City asks that community members REFRAIN FROM PLACING BRANCHES IN THE STREET.
3. The Yard Waste site will be closed this Saturday, due to the wet conditions of the site. However, COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE TREE BRANCHES (ONLY) TO THE CITY TREE PILE DIRECTLY TO THE SOUTH EAST AT THE END OF E BROAD AVENUE. behind the cemetery.
The public is encouraged to direct all non-emergency questions to the City Office at 605-997-2492.
